Week of 2/12

Welcome January 2s Families to the Sun Room!
 
These first 2 weeks of the "Phase In" process has been going well.  Thank you for making our first collaboration so easy. It seems like all the children are well on their way to separating and feeling safe with us!
We will start asking the remaining adults, one by one, to leave the room for "bathroom runs" i.e. 5 minutes and "coffee breaks" or  "phone calls" i.e. 15/20 minutes.  Gradually working our way up to sitting outside. We will be taking this on a case by case basis factoring in many elements.
 
Of course, we expect there to be a couple of delayed reactions in which the excitement of the new experience has worn off and the child begins to resist separating. If this comes up we will work out a strategy on case by case basis. All in all, we could not have hoped for a better start. 
 
All your children played beautifully with their new teachers and friends. We are looking forward to a wonderful session with this fantastic group of children.
