Week of 1/8

1/11/2018

Dear Sun Room Families!

This week we talked about snow and snow men! Why don't animals need to wear Winter clothing? We went to our first Montclare Musical Assembly of the year!

Classroom Activities
  • We made snowflakes!

Songs We Sang

"Snow Happy" (sung to the tune of "If You're Happy and You Know It")
If you're happy that it snowed, (clap your hands)
If you're happy that it snowed, (clap your hands)
If it's fluffy and it's white, such a lovely, snowy sight!

If you're happy that it snowed, (clap your hands)"January Song" (sung to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star")

January has begun!
Now it's time for Winter fun!
Put  some warm socks on your toes!
Feel the snowflakes on your nose!
Celebrate the brand New Year!
Wintertime is finally here!

Books We Read
  • Just A Snowman, by Mercer Mayer.
  • The Hat, by Jan Brett
  • The Snow Day, by Komako Sakai

We will next see everyone on Tuesday, January 16th! Please reach out to me with any questions!

Have a great long weekend!
