We had a great week in the Panda Room learning all about Winter.
Books we read:
Gorilla, Be Good!, by Maria Fleming
The Snowy Day, by Ezra Jack Keats
Change It! Solids, Liquids, Gases and You, by Adrienne Mason
Had our Letter of the Week “G”
This week the children got back into the swing of things. We brushed up on our skills and practiced name writing and Mat Man. This time we made Mat Girl!!!
During centers we made name snowmen that are hanging up outside the classroom. The children had to count how many letters they have in their name. Then the counted out that many snowballs. They wrote a otter on each snowball and spelt out their name!
We also performed a science experiment by asking the question, "What happens when you freeze juice." We made little ice pops in the process and learned all about liquids to solids.
During classroom art the children made winter trees using Q-tips painting.
