We had a great week in the Panda Room learning all about Fall. Books we read:
Fifi Ferret's Flute, by Samantha Berger
10 Apples Up On Top, by Dr. Seuss
When Autumn Comes, by Robert Maass
How Do You Know It's Fall?, by Allan Fowler
Places we went:
Art came to the Panda Room which was fun because we have never done that before
We performed in a drum circle during movement
Every brought back their library books this week- Miss Lindsay was very impressed!
Had our Letter of the Week “F”
During centers we read 10 Apples Up On Top. After we each balanced "apples" (bean bags) on our heads to see how many we could balance. Lastly, we graphed the amount of apples on another piece of paper. We are learning about different graphs in math.
We are also working on our patterns. We are moved from AB to ABC.
Shapes are very important so we made scarecrows using a lot of different shapes.
During classroom art we made fall trees using q-tips. This is also helpful to build our fine motor skills.
